"Cinna-bon Christmas Tree”

The Holidays can be a busy time, shopping, gatherings, parties, baking, and cleaning up after it all.  One year in particular I found myself exhausted after baking dozens and dozens of cookies which I gave out as gifts.  I then received an invite to another Christmas party and to please bring a creative dessert.  I knew I did NOT want to lay eyes on another cookie and as I looked in my refrigerator and the ingredients on hand I decided to try to make a Christmas tree out of Cinnamon Rolls.  In under 30 mins I was done from start to finish!  Quick, easy, sweet and a crowd pleaser.  I hope you enjoy this non-conventional holiday treat.

Ingredients:
  • 1 package of Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls with Icing (or any store bought brand…or you can make them yourself!)
  • 2 Drops of Green Food Coloring (or as many drops it takes to get to your preferred shade of green color)
  • Christmas Sprinkles or any other edible decor you’d like add to your Cinna-bon tree!

Directions:
1. Remove Cinnamon rolls from packaging and arrange in a tree formation (see photo) and prepare as directed on package.
2. Remove from oven and allow Cinnamon rolls to cool slightly.  While they are cooling add 2 drops of green food coloring to frosting and mix until fully combined.
3. Cover cinnamon rolls with green frosting.
4. Use your imagination and Decorate!
5. Wow your guests with your creativity and serve at your next holiday gathering!

That’s it, short and sweet!
